Glowworm Books & Gifts is a small privately owned family business with a long history in the print industry, publishing and book supplies - particularly in the area of children's books. Whilst making use of technology in the right places we do take pride in providing a hand crafted personal service to our customers.

We are one of the contractors chosen to supply Scottish Local Authorities and Scotland Excel Associate Members under the framework for the Supply and Delivery of Library Books, Educational Textbooks and Multimedia Supplies. As such we are able to adopt and comply with e-procurement processes such as the Pecos and Oracle systems.

As you browse this site you will find there is no "log-in" for access to discounted pricing details or electronic order processing for Local Authority or trade customers, our policy on this is simple:
a). Why should we let our competitors see how we can outshine them on pricing? That's between us and you.
b). We prefer to provide an interactive service tailored to your needs.
c). We prefer to verify all enquires and orders rather than blindly processing 13 digit order codes (ISBN's).
d). To add further automated facilities would increase our costs and so increase the price of the products we supply.

For personal purchases of our own publications (UK delivery only), we have recently added an online shop.

For a limited period we are offering an online jigsaw shop for a selected range of jigsaws for children and adults.
